Unser zentrales Anliegen ist eine personalisierte Tumortherapie und die Durchführung innovativer klinischer Studien in der Onkologie. Durch die international und national hervorragende Vernetzung der Mitarbeitenden besteht vielfältiger Zugang zu Therapiestudien für alle wesentlichen Tumorerkrankungen des Gastrointestinaltraktes, der Leber und des Pankreas. Dadurch ist es möglich, im Rahmen von Studien neue Medikamente (targeted therapy) und innovative Therapieansätze zu untersuchen und Biomarker bezüglich Therapieansprechen und Prognoseabschätzung zu evaluieren. Derzeit bestehen neuartige Therapiekonzepte für das kolorektale Karzinom, Pankreaskarzinom, Gallengangskarzinom, Leberzellkarzinom, Magenkarzinom und Ösophaguskarzinom.
